The main temple and national shrine Konpon Chudo is currently (2016-2026) fully renovated with historical craftsmanship. The entire temple was encased in a steel skeleton hall. Believers and tourists are still welcome and can watch the work on a platform. The complex has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
