The Provo River Parkway is a great multi-use trail that connects Provo with Lake Utah. The path is fully paved and is popular with walkers, runners and cyclists, so make sure you are courteous to the other trail users.

Utah Lake State Park is a popular park on the banks of the largest lake in Utah. The park has several roads and trails for you to choose from and is connected to Provo by the Provo River Parkway.

This smooth paved trail is a great way to get from town to Utah Lake for a picnic or as part of a longer ride. Ensure you are courteous to other users of the path.

Utah Lake is the state's largest freshwater lake at roughly 148 sq. miles, and it provides a variety of recreation activities. There are beautiful views to be had out over the lake from here, and it is just at the end of the Provo River Parkway. There is a trail network for walking or biking beside the park.

The Jordan River Parkway is a north-south system of great mixed use trails that parallel the Jordan River. It connects neighboring counties and travels 45 miles through Salt Lake County. It also allows for travel between Utah Lake and the Great Salt Lake.

On entering the Salt Lake Valley, early settlers found a fifty mile meandering wildlife corridor with the beautiful Jordan River at its center. Flowing through the entire Salt Lake Valley it empties into the vast wetlands of the Great Salt Lake.

Not to be confused with the Olympic Park in Park City — a monument to the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City — this Olympic Park covers about 15 acres. It features a covered pavilion, numerous recreation fields, several barbecue grills, and easy access to the Jordan River Parkway.
