The Villa Tacul trail begins next to the Llao Llao Information Center and gently ascends to the turnoff for Cerro Llao Llao, where the views of Nahuel Huapi Lake and the surrounding hills reward the effort. From there, the path descends to Villa Tacul, a tranquil bay with crystal-clear waters, ideal for relaxing by the lake. The trail is well-marked.

The Llao Llao Lookout, located 1,080 meters above sea level, offers one of the most iconic views of the "Circuito Chico" (Small Circuit). From here, you can see Lake Moreno, the López and Capilla hills, and the Brazo Tristeza (Sadness Arm) of Lake Nahuel Huapi. It's an ideal spot to stop and enjoy the Patagonian landscape, although it's advisable to stay away from the cliffs and keep a close eye on children for their safety.

It is worth going up to the viewing points from the beach.

Beautiful road with many nice views. We cycled it in December. However, we found the road quite busy with cars and trucks (all the way to Villa Angostina). After it seems bit more quite but still more than expected. It is all asphalt.

We went up at the end of March, from Villa Tacul, it is a walk of about 45 minutes, almost all of which is a steep climb. It's worth it, the view is spectacular.

It is not far from Bariloche to here. Quite good for the first day of our two month dream tour of Patagonia. The famous RN 40 takes you through hilly pampas and only a few inclines. The CG is wonderfully located on the lake, there is cold beer, but also cold showers and toilets. There is a wooden table and a fireplace on site.

This campsite is an excellent option, if you want to shorten your cycling day. It is located on the edge of Nahuel Huapi, very well shaded and protected from the wind in some places.
