Edsberg Castle is a manor house built in the 18th century by politician Thure Gustav Rudbeck. After extensive sales by the Rudbeck family, the castle was renovated at the beginning of this century and is partially open to the public.

In winter, the lake is fantastic for ice skating; when there's enough ice, a 14-kilometer circular track is cleared to create an ice rink. Skates are available for rent on-site on weekends.

Along the lake you will find an easy lakeside path with frequent water views, small beaches and short forest sections. The shore promenade is well maintained and ideal for relaxed walks or runs, while the rise toward Bunkebergsåsen adds a slightly higher vantage point. A calm, scenic stretch with regular access points and benches.

One of the main entrances to the Igelbäcken Nature Reserve, a peaceful green area stretching between Solna and Kista. From here you can explore forest trails, open meadows and the stream that gives the reserve its name. It’s easy to reach from the city, yet once you enter, you quickly forget how close you are to Stockholm.
