You can explore a little inside the cave. It's a dead end but there are cool light shafts down. Torch would be nice, but it was fine to see using two phone torches.

The Coves d'Artà is one of Mallorca's most spectacular caves, reaching up to 40 meters underground. Once used as a pirate hideout, it now boasts gigantic stalactite formations. The large "Hall of Heaven" and the stalagmites, which can reach up to 22 meters in height, are particularly impressive.

Plan an extra 1 to 2 hours if you do the worthwhile guided cave tour. They are just as impressive as the caves at Porto Cristo, but not as over-marketed. The entrance fee includes the guided tour, which is held in several languages, including German.

You have to look closely to see the entrance. Go closer, as a thick stone blocks your view. However, access is only possible for slim to normal-built, flexible people 🤸🏽😉

In Porto Cristo you can find everything: the beach, the marina and the Coves del Drac, which was our destination. The stalactite cave system of the Coves del Drac extends over 1,700 meters, of which about one kilometer is accessible. It contains the largest underground lake in Europe and one of the largest in the world, Llac Martel or Lake Martel
