Since the temple was completed in the 15th century, it has elements from the Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque periods.

This church is located next to the city walls and, together with the church of San Juan Bautista, formed the fortified area that protected the medieval town.

A special mention should be made of the bell tower, which stands free-standing at the foot of the temple, and at the foot of the tower there is a rainwater cistern, which is intended to supply the inhabitants of the town with the precious water.

Right next to some colored rocks you can take a path, not at all clear but simple, to access La Simonica.

Along the path from El Castillo to Calvario and La Simonica, there are a few very curious sculptures on the track.

Small summit for which you have to deviate a little from the path. I recommend my downhill itinerary more than the uphill one.

When you finish climbing the stairs, you will find a viewpoint with a small star observatory.
