On hot days, you can bring a bottle and refill it for them to drink, or pour water over them. 💧 🐶

There is very little shade on the entire circular route, only the last, short section in the gorge has shade. In summer it can get as hot as 40 degrees Celsius and then only the section in the gorge is recommended, not the circular hike.

You can follow the circular path or do just the section along the Vía Verde de Irati crossing tunnels and bridges. Any alternative path you take, I assure you that the landscape will surprise you!
