The name of the lighthouse comes from the dam (Spanish: dique) de La Curra on which the tower was built. By bike, you simply ride towards the lighthouse on a road that runs along the artificial dam. The Faro del Dique de la Curra is also called the "Green Lighthouse" because of the color of the upper part of the building and its light.
