Ocenilla is a hamlet belonging to the municipality of Cidones. It is located 15 km from the capital, Soria. In the distance, beneath the foothills of the Sierra de Cabrejas, you can see the Pico Frentes. Access is the same as to Cidones, taking the N-234. Festivals include St. Anthony of Padua on June 13th and St. Stephen's Day on December 26th. A Celtiberian fortress stands here, part of the wall still stands today. The economy is based primarily on livestock farming. Among the plants, the oak stands out. Typical dishes include perolo on Christmas Eve and cachula, or pork blood broth. Gormaz Castle is one of the most incredible places you will see in these parts. This caliphal fortress, built in the second half of the 10th century, constituted the border between Al Andalus and Castile in the Middle Ages. The famous Cid was warden of the castle, which became the largest defensive construction of the Late Middle Ages in Europe.

The hermitage of San Miguel is a Mozarabic temple that dates from approximately the same period as the caliphal fortress of Gormaz, the 10th and 11th centuries. The building's greatest treasure is its frescoes that tell various stories of Christian life in the turbulent times of the Middle Ages in the Iberian Peninsula.

The archaeological site and museum of Numancia is located in the municipality of Garray, in Soria. Here you can visit the vestiges of a Celtiberian and later Roman population. There are several reconstructions of houses and other objects that give you a good idea of the appearance and way of life of this place in the past.
