Restaurant Georgette, nice restaurant halfway the walk. Very nice place to enjoy a drink on the terrace. The menu is quite simple, but the dishes are well prepared and plentiful. Ideal to take a break halfway the walk.

Running alongside the river, the path winds through lush green landscapes, between meadows and groves, where the calm of the water creates a soothing atmosphere. The reflections of the trees on the Vilaine and the tranquility of the place make it a perfect place for a contemplative break or a walk.

Cicé lock in Bruz. Possibility of crossing the Vilaine on foot or by bike.

The Apigné ponds are located southwest of Rennes and are fed by the Vilaine.

The towpath leaves the Vilaine for a little less than 2 km to follow the Cicé canal, a long straight line without much interest. I recommend going around, between the Champcors mill and the Cicé lock, to follow the Vilaine along a more varied towpath, which offers beautiful views of the meanders of the river.
