The milestones reach the block niches installed at the head of the circus, below the Brecha de Chausenque. These catastrophic and desolate-looking places are the result of forceful glacial events and it is easy to imagine what the massif looked like when it was covered by great masses of living ice, when the mountain was baptized “old snow”. The path heads south and completes the ascent to the top. At the end of the season it is possible to find some residual snow before the final climb. The normal entrance to the summit follows a chimney channel on the south face that requires the use of hands but without ice it does not present any difficulty. The summit is small and steep but has great views.
