The Wilhelminaberg is an artificial hill on the territory of the municipality of Landgraaf. The hill originated as a spoil heap of the State Mine Wilhelmina and was transformed into a recreational area in the 1970s. The hill has a height of 225 meters above NAP.

The Wilhelmina staircase, which allows you to climb the Wilhelminabert hill, is said to be the longest in the Netherlands. Length: 248 meters (Bueren Liège: 194 m) Elevation: 95 m (Bueren Liège: 67 m) All for 508 steps! (Bueren Liège: 374 steps) (less "difficult" than that of Bueren because less steep) It is made up of 22 flights of steps separated by a landing. The lower sections are wider, and have 20 steps, than those at the top, which are narrower and have 24 steps. This is only to reinforce the optical effect by accentuating the perspective. The 360° view from its summit is worth a look.
