The men's pool in Seengen is a historic seaside resort with simple facilities on Lake Hallwil. Today, both men and women are allowed in the bathroom. The Seengener Herrenbadi is a wooden pool in Seengermoos, which is located on the north shore of Lake Hallwil. Access is free and gender segregation has been removed. Around 3000 years ago, pile dwellers settled on the shores of Lake Hallwil. Impressive remains of their buildings were discovered in 1923 in Seengen-Riesi, in what is now the Riesi Moor Reserve. The site is now part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site "Prehistoric Pile Dwellings around the Alps". The reconstruction of a pile dwelling nearby tells the story.
