La Umbría is located in a natural paradise within the Sierra de Aracena in a part of the mountains where the sun barely shines, hence the name 'La Umbría'. For that reason, everything is green all year round. The most important monuments are the Monte de la Cruz, the Cueva de la Mora and the Higuera de La Sierra church.
