The view from the dam of the Embassament de Guadalest is truly impressive! From there you can see the turquoise water of the reservoir, framed by the surrounding mountains. The landscape is characterized by the steep rock faces and lush vegetation of the Sierra de Aitana. The picturesque village of Guadalest with its castle sits at the top - a perfect place for a photo!

Water is available at the font and the refuge is not closed. You can eat there or even sleep. The return path I took is quite rough. The path disappears ad can be found again using the map. Make sure you downloaded it as there is no network on that part.

If you want adventure and have the best views of the Guadalest valley, do not hesitate to climb to the top of Penya Alta. At 1220 meters above sea level, the summit offers wonderful views and at the same time a challenge to reach it. You can take different alternative paths with different degrees of difficulty but all very entertaining and attractive.

Recreational area and very cool drinking water source ideal for the summer! It is a very nice and well-preserved area with barbecues and tables for picnicking and spending a nice day on foot in the Serra d'Aitana and Penyo Rapel. It is a very picturesque environment and with the possibility of hiking or mtb along various paths and paths. You can park your car a few meters away.

At 1,125 meters above sea level, the top of Morro Blau is the second highest in the Serra de l'Aixorta chain. Unlike the Penya Blanca (the highest peak), from here you will have amazing views towards the Marina Alta, Baja and you will be able to see the beaches from Denia through Calpe to Altea. Simply wonderful!!!

It is a very picturesque environment and with the possibility of hiking or mtb along various paths and trails. You can park your car a few meters away.
