The Church of San Martín in Huerta de Arriba combines a Romanesque apse with a neoclassical nave built in 1729. Inside, the main altarpiece stands out, in a neoclassical style with Baroque influences. It is a good example of how different architectural styles coexist in a single rural church.

Crossroads in the heights: One track leads to Ezcaray. A path climbs to San Lorenzo. Another track descends to San Millán de la Cogolla. Another path disappears into the forest, with no exit. And a final track, heading south, soon forks into two: one leads to the Mansilla reservoir, and the other, also full of forks, takes us to Cruz de la Demanda. Choose your own adventure!

Wonderful to cycle on the little-used road along the reservoir.

Laguna de la Cascada is part of the set of small lagoons of glacial origin of Lagunas de Neila, within the Natural Park of the Lagunas Glaciares de Neila. In the vicinity of the lagoon there is an information panel with interesting data on the flora and fauna.

To the north of the Sierra de Neila, at an altitude of 1,175 meters, is the town of Neila. Neila captivates for its traditional popular architecture, but also for being surrounded by high mountains and with innumerable different routes.
