A legendary mountain pass that separates the High Pyrenees Natural Park from the Aigüestortes and Lake of Saint-Maurice National Park. It can be climbed from both valleys.

The arrival from Llavorsí is amazing, long but beautiful; the descent to Espiu is almost 30 turns and is even more beautiful than being at the top. I don't want to think about what it must be like to go up there, in some areas the road surface is somewhat broken.

In summer, it can get hot on the long climb from Espui to the Triador Pass. This fresh mountain spring comes in handy about 2 km before the top of the pass.

The site of failed construction projects just after the millennium, the population of 70 is surrounded by skiing and industrial infrastructure that punctuates the landscape, telling the story of what could have been for the the surrounding area.
