Great walk amazing views

Iznájar's location on a small cape surrounded by water makes it a place of great scenic value. The entire town has infinite viewpoints that make us enjoy the views of the Genil River and the reservoir. Passing through Iznájar, it is worth getting lost in its narrow streets and, above all, seeing the Patio de las Comedias, full of blue pots.

From Puente Fernández we can see the Genil River that feeds the Iznájar Reservoir and part of the old Molinillo bridge, which is covered when the water level is high.

On a hill watching over its reservoir is this beautiful town with white houses and narrow, steep streets crowned by a singular castle of Arab construction. In the 19th century this place was one of the cradles of the popular uprisings part of the movement called by some as "indigenous socialism".

Fed by the Genil River, this is the largest reservoir in Andalusia. It was built between 1959 and 1969 and in 2010 work was carried out to improve and modernize the dam. It has an Interpretation Center where some of the tools used in its construction are exhibited, which had its complexities due to the high temperatures.

Iznájar is located on the banks of the Genil river, which forms the Iznájar swamp as it passes through the municipality. Its location, on a large stone, means that it represents a famous nucleus. Also through the narrow streets and white houses in the middle of a small cape surrounded by water.

The Arbabian Castillo is located at the highest point of Iznajar, along with the Parroquial de Santiago Apostol.
