This is the epic mountain road along the cliff. It is in very good condition and hardly any cars pass by. Right at this point, there is a parking lot where you can leave your bike and go up the narrow path, if you want to visit the castle. The views of the reservoir from the top are very beautiful.

From the bridge, you get the best views of Júcar. The contrast of the bluish color of the water and the green of the mountain make it a magical place.

This bridge marks the point where the Cabriel riverbed joins the Júcar riverbed. And together they continue downstream towards the Cortes millstone. A very picturesque place with a beautiful landscape a few meters from the town of Cofrentes.

The castle of Andalusian origin, dates from the 12th century with a very interesting history. It is accessed by a concrete path, which allows you to appreciate very nice views of the town of Jalance, the Cofrentes-Ayora Valley and the Cofrentes Nuclear Power Plant.

Thé trail to reach this Castillo from the embarcader (cofrentes) is a good way to start enjoying the place. Then you can see from few kilometers the shape of the Castillo, then you reach it and the Astmosphere is just wonderful, take your time and explore the place...

This Castillo is amazing, the way to reach it is wonderful and where your are in and walk through it, you feel the vibes of what happened from the 15th centuries... some walls are well preserved, you can walk through the double wall, and discover the stunning views over the rio Júcar...

This is a fantastic place, the views from the cliffs are absolutely stunning, I recommend to really do the tour of the cliffs behind the castle, follow the ridge (cautiously) and step after step, stunning views appear, you don’t know which one is the most beautiful... and with a bit of chance you will meet the wild cabra...

Chirel Castle is a fortress located in the Valencian municipality of Cortes de Pallás and is located in a privileged location. Getting to it is relatively easy, you just have to climb a slope of about 3 kilometers, and enjoy its impressive views of the Jucar river and the reservoir. It is built on a small elevation called the Cinto del Castillo wheel. The castle is built fully adapting to the orography of the terrain, which is very rocky and flanked by gorges, thus presenting a triangular plan and an excellent situation for its defense.
