Carved out of a mountain, Ujué has only 300 inhabitants and is a remarkable example of a medieval village. Above the village towers an 11th century church.

Originally a Roman fortress in a strategic location, the fortress is both a castle and a palace, although it was originally built as a court building to fulfil a military function. Since the 13th century, the Castle of Olite has been called the Palace of the King of Navarre.

The castle palace of Olite served as the residence of the kings of Navarre until the union of Navarre with Castile in the 16th century. The complex has been a listed monument since 1925.

The ruins of the ancient Roman city of Cara (Santacara) that can be visited today were built on an ancient Iron Age town estimated to date back to the 2nd century BC, making it one of the oldest ruins discovered in the area and that since 1993 have been protected under the figure of Asset of Cultural Interest.

Long trail up the ridge. No technical difficulty. Very good views.

Originally conceived for use in irrigating the most desert areas of Navarra, this canal is a true work of hydraulic engineering that begins in the Itoiz Reservoir, on the bed of the Irati River and runs through a large part of the Community.

Small typical village of the Navarrese interior located on the banks of the Zidakos river and a few kilometers from the Laguna de Pitillas. It stands out for its stone buildings, picturesque streets and the Church of Santa Fé and the Hermitage of Santa Cruz with beautiful views of the valley.
