6월 6, 2025, Betws-y-Coed Railway Station
Opened 1868: Passenger trains began serving Betws-y-Coed on April 6, 1868. The London & North Western Railway extended the Conwy Valley line (which had reached Llanrwst in 1863) to Betws-y-Coed, initially for freight in 1867. Slate Transport: The primary purpose of the Conwy Valley line was to transport dressed slate from the quarries in Blaenau Ffestiniog to Deganwy for export. A further extension to Blaenau Ffestiniog opened in 1879. Tourist Hub: The railway became the main way for tourists to reach Betws-y-Coed, and the station was designed with ample facilities to cope with the crowds. Local Builder: The station building itself is quite substantial for a country branch line and was constructed by local contractor Owen Gethin Jones, a renowned stonemason, carpenter, civil engineer, and poet. Decline and Revival: Like many branch lines, it saw a decline in the 20th century. However, its scenic route and importance for tourism have ensured its continued operation.

St Mary's Church, Betws-y-Coed, is in the village of Betws-y-Coed, Conwy, Wales. It is an active Anglican parish church of the Church in Wales, in the deanery of Arllechwedd, the archdeaconry of Bangor and the diocese of Bangor. The church is designated by Cadw ( Welsh version of The National Trust ) as a Grade II* listed building. The church was built between 1870 and 1873 to accommodate the increasing numbers of summer visitors to the area. It was designed by the Lancaster partnership of Paley and Austin, the commission being gained as a result of a competition won by Hubert Austin. The principal benefactor was the Liverpool businessman Charles Kurtz. The church was consecrated in July 1873, and provided seating for 150 people. It replaced a medieval church dedicated to Saint Michael, and cost £5,000 (equivalent to £560,000 in 2023). The tower was completed in 1907.

6월 14, 2024, Betws-y-Coed Railway Station
The charming tourist hotspot of Betws-y-Coed is served by this small station on the Conwy Valley Line. The village is popular with walkers and lies within the boundary of the Eryri National Park. The railway passes through some of the most picturesque scenery Wales has to offer. Nearby Swallow Falls is a beautiful place to visit, as is the Neolithic cemetery at Capel Garmon. The original stone station, opened in 1868, still stands and was built by local craftsmen. Mainly used by freight transport equipment, as the number of tourists increased, passenger services became more frequent. (Transport for Wales)

This idyllic mountain lake is hidden amongst the pine and deciduous forests of the Gwydyr Forest and lies above Betws-y-Coed. The lake is used as a water reservoir. In the past the lake was actually made up of two smaller lakes, called Llyn Rhisgog and Llyn Enoc.

Would highly recommend The Alpine Coffee shop for cake, coffee and lunch. With a menu varying daily and plenty of choice for meat-eaters, vegans and gluten-free diets it's the perfect fuelling stop for every adventure. The products are all produced with sustainability and fair trade in mind. The cafe had a bustling and friendly atmosphere with helpful and efficient staff.

A gorgeous village fondly called the "Gateway to Snowdonia". Often found teeming with hikers, mountain bikers and cyclists, it's a haven for lovers of the great outdoors. Weekend events and festivals can make the village busier than usual but the traffic is slow and perfectly comfortable to navigate by bike.
