Great trail, fantastic view! I recommend to return the same route and not take the extension, because it was hard to find the track, lots of the soil was muddy/wet and for a large part you will walk alongside a metal fence.

Great route but on the return be mindful not many people go this route and its very awkward and almost dangerous at times specially if its been raining ....!

Ben Vane - Munro 915m

Parking at the head of Loch Voil offers easy access to this and Cruach Ardrain, another enjoyable pair of Munros. Walking this Munro usually stars walking through the farm and up its south east shoulder.

Whilst the lower slopes of the mountain are more steady, higher up becomes much more intersting and rocky outcrops disguise the summit well. Views on the top are fantastic.

A brilliant summit with marvellous views. We descended via the “adventurous” route via Loch Katrine. Don’t! 😄 Very boggy, very steep, very uneven. The walk along the shore of Loch Katrine is compensation.

Beinn Tulaichean is a 3,104-foot (946 m) Munro in the Scottish Highlands. It's often considered as one of a pair, alongside the higher Cruach Ardrain. They can be approached from the north or the south. Alternatively, if you're like me, you can tackle the seven Munros south of Crianlarich in a single outing. In which case, you'd take these on from southwest to northeast!

Ben Vane is one of the Arrochar Alps and also one of the smallest Munros, at just 3,002 feet (915 m). It's also the fourth most southerly Munro. Those who've climbed Ben Vane from the east will know that it is also the king of the false summits! The route sometimes looks intimidating but it's easy to follow and no technical climbing skill is required. The views are stunning and stretch across to Ben Lui and even to Ben Nevis on a clear day.

Way up is to do well with some condition. The way down the back is muddy and adventurous in the rain and requires good sure-footedness over steppe and man-high fern.

Great little climb. Best to go up and down from the Ben A'an car park. If you come back down on the West side to Loch Katrine it is quite difficult due to steepness, boggy ground, fallen trees and over grown invisible path, keep to the left of the deer fencing and go down left side of plantation

Ben A’an stands at 1,491 feet (454 m) tall and is located between Loch Katrine and Loch Achray. Although it is not particularly high, its position at the heart of the Trossachs makes it a truly wonderful viewpoint that has a special place in the hearts of so many people.

The hill hides its view until the last moment, stunning views across Loch Katrine Awesome view .. even in bad weather conditions.

Beautiful for sunset and sunrise, can camp at top. Good path. My 3-year-old has climbed it!
