10월 28, 2024, Ben More Summit
Ben More is truly breathtaking! With its distinctive triangular shape and as the highest peak in the Crianlarich Hills, it immediately stands out from the others. Together with Stob Binnein, it forms a fascinating V-shaped silhouette on the horizon. The climb is steep and challenges the legs and lungs, but the effort is absolutely worth it. The view from the summit makes you forget all the effort in an instant! https://templatecalendar.com/

Stob Binnein is often ascended alongside its slightly higher neighbour Ben More. Together, they are the highest peaks in the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park and feature huge panoramas across the Southern Highlands. Stob Binnein is the more attractive of the two, rising to a shapely summit. It is most easily accessed from Benmore Glen via Bealach-eadar-dha Beinn.

11월 3, 2022, Benmore Glen
Benmore Glen lies in the shadow of mighty Ben More in the eastern end of the Crianlarich range. The track through the glen is often used by hikers ascending or descending from Bealach-eadar-dha Beinn between the giant Munros of Ben More and Stob Binnein. A scenic stream, Benmore Burn, flows through the glen on its way to Loch Iubhair.

11월 3, 2022, Bealach-eadar-dha Beinn
At 2,828 feet (862m), Bealach-eadar-dha Beinn is as high as it is hard to say. It is the boulder crowned bealach between Southern Highland twin giants Ben More and Stob Binnein, the highest peaks in Britain south of Tayside. Head south and ascend to sharpely Stob Binnein or ascend to the north for the slightly higher Ben More. Whatever you do, if it's a clear day you'll be greeted by astonishing views of the Southern Highlands.

10월 24, 2022, Meall Dhamh
Meall Dhamh, at 2,671 feet (814 m) is the highest point on the knobbly ridge between Grey Height and Cruach Ardrain's main summit. It is crossed on the usual ascent route to Cruach Ardrain from Crianlarich and boasts excellent views of its parent peak, which appears as a mighty dome from this vantage. The view across to the neighbouring An Caisteal ridge is also excellent.

10월 24, 2022, Crianlarich Hills
Nestled in Glen Strathfillan beneath a family of towering Munros, the village of Crianlarich has a lot to offer hikers. The Crianlarich Hills that rise to the south and east contain seven Munro summits, including Ben More, the highest peak in Britain south of Tayside. The village and its surrounding peaks are wonderfully accessible. It has a station on the West Highland Railway and the village is also the meeting point of the A82 from Glasgow and the A85 from Perth. There are numerous accomodation options in the surrounding area.

10월 7, 2021, Beinn Tulaichean Summit
Parking at the head of Loch Voil offers easy access to this and Cruach Ardrain, another enjoyable pair of Munros. Walking this Munro usually stars walking through the farm and up its south east shoulder.

10월 7, 2021, Cruach Ardrain
Another Munro pair to make an enjoyable day, Cruach Ardrain is the second after Beinn Tulaichean. Views to the north are good. Descent from here is usually south east, following a rough grassy (and sometimes slippy) path down to a farm track and back to parking.

10월 7, 2021, Stob Binnein
Stob Binnein is easily climbed after Ben More, and is just a short down and up from it. The summit is marked by a very small cairn. The views south from here are extensive. Once done descending toward Ben More and down to the left is easiest. A path can be picked up and take round Ben More back to the road.

10월 7, 2021, Ben More Summit
Ben More from the Farm is an incredibly steep path, with some boggy sections lower down. The views near the top are fantastic, and makes it worth the short climb. Stob Binnein is worth doing after, and the descent from there down the back of Ben More and round is a much better path to return to the road.

4월 2, 2020, Cruach Ardrain
Cruach Ardrain is a 3,432-foot (1,046 m) Munro in the Scottish Highlands. After approaching this mountain from Beinn Tulaichean, I explored by descending off the east side to tackle Stob Binnein and Ben More next, but this seemed too steep and craggy, so I headed north before heading east as the gradient eased. The views to Stob Binnein and Ben More from this summit are wonderful.

4월 2, 2020, Beinn Tulaichean Summit
Beinn Tulaichean is a 3,104-foot (946 m) Munro in the Scottish Highlands. It's often considered as one of a pair, alongside the higher Cruach Ardrain. They can be approached from the north or the south. Alternatively, if you're like me, you can tackle the seven Munros south of Crianlarich in a single outing. In which case, you'd take these on from southwest to northeast!

4월 2, 2020, Ben More Summit
For me, Stob Binnein was the second to last stop in a mega day out hillwalking (and peak bagging) in the Scottish Highlands in April 2019. I bagged 7 Munros that day and by the time I got to Stob Binnein, I was exhausted! The 1,165m Munro giant is often climbed with Ben More (its neighbour) which is only marginally higher and generally gets more attention.

12월 13, 2019, Ben More Summit
Beautifully triangular, Ben More is the highest of the so-called Crianlarich Hills. It dominates the skyline of this part of Scotland, forming a distinctive V-shaped notch on the horizon with Stob Binnein. It is a sadistically steep, lung-heaving, leg-aching climb to the towering summit – but, if you haven’t collapsed, the views are worth it.
