This chapel is not simply dedicated to the Virgin Mary; often, it bears additional titles, dedicating it to a church feast such as her Immaculate Conception, Nativity, or Assumption. The patronage of this particular shrine, however, carries a special addition: MADONNA DEL ROSARIO. This refers to a prayer that was very popular in the popular piety of earlier times and is still cherished in many parishes and private homes (at least by the older generation). Laguna del Mort is a lagoon with sea water, located in the Veneto region, along the coast of the Upper Northern Adriatic, north-east of the Venice lagoon. About half a meter deep on average, with the maximum depth not exceeding 2 m, it is contiguous to the last branch of the mouth of the Piave and sees the border between the coastal municipalities of Jesolo and Eraclea run along its axis.
