This church dates back to the 10th-11th century and has undergone several modifications and extensions over time. The current appearance of the church dates from the early 19th century. In 1924 the church underwent new decoration and restoration, and was consecrated on May 1, 1959. The church was officially elevated to a parish in 1914.
