A quiet little area where Van dwellers are. they are peaceful and friendly. I sleep here at nights when in the area. Late night star gazing and early morning sunrises here are hard to beat.

The Long Barrow at All Cannings is a spiritual place where people of any or no faith can come to remember and give thanks, especially for the lives of their loved ones. inspired by the neolithic barrows built 5,500 years ago. An excellent campsite open all year round, and just off the King Alfreds Way. There are clean indoor showers and toilets, as well as a laundry room and washing up area. You will need 50p to use the showers. There's also an option of staying in a pod or self contained apartment. Within a five minute walk is a friendly pub specialising in Italian food.

Great for a stop-off while cycling the tow path

The tour passes through Avebury Stone Circle, supposedly the poor relation to Stone Henge but in my mind far far better. Hug a stone for free!!

There’s cows and sometimes a bull(s) in this stretch. The bull seemed largely indifferent but just be aware. It may not be there all the time anyway. I’m not up on farming/bovine activities so maybe they rotate fields.

Great cafe stop. A bit different to the normal cyclist stop. Great, selection of coffee, snacks and cakes and drinks. Very well prepared food, well presented with love and attention. Part of the Garden centre complex and easy to miss. Definitely worth a visit. Will go again.
