Just in front of this shop are a few rudimentary wooden tables outside and perhaps some bicycles for sale (indication of 'Bike Shop' on the window). In Belgium, this store corresponds best to a thrift store. Free in & out and at the very back of the store is a counter with thermoses of hot water and coffee. Wide choice of tea & serve yourself is the message. The toilet is located in the hallway past the counter. A bucket with a lid allows you to make a donation. You can relax on the terrace outside and with a bit of luck you can find someone there for a nice chat. (fun fact: the bikes are offered at 'astronomical prices', bidding is the message and is supposed to be done - dixit the Irishman).

hit it hard, hit it fast

This beautiful Grade I-listed church dates back to the 13th century and remains in use today. It lies on the edge of the North Wessex Downs AONB in the village of Clyfee Pypard. Nikolaus and Lola Pevsner are buried in the churchyard, the former being the famous art historian who wrote the first books in the vast Buildings of England series.
