The Moutiers-les-Mauxfaits Market Hall in Vendée dates back to 1765 and covers an area of 1,340 m². It is supported by a remarkable oak frame that required approximately 150 trees and features 41 Doric limestone columns, reflecting the neoclassical style of the time. Located in the center of the town, it forms the historic and commercial heart of the village and hosts a weekly market as well as monthly fairs. The market halls have been restored several times, with the last major renovation taking place in 2006. Listed as a historic monument since 1943, they symbolize the ancient merchant tradition of Moutiers-les-Mauxfaits.

This picturesque village is a perfect place for a break and refreshments. There are several restaurants and a nice café Tea room "Les Rives Enchan'thé just after the bridge. (The café is open every day from 1:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. except Sunday and Monday).

This old building is the ruin of an old spinning mill which produced wool in the 1860s. It only had a short life as the spinning mill ceased to operate in the 1870s. It was demolished and the stones were used for the construction of the Château de Rosnay, located nearby.
