The Castleman Trailway was once part of the railway connecting Dorchester to Southampton and is named after Charles Castleman, the man who oversaw its construction. The railway ceased operations in 1964. The Castleman Trailway offers a mostly flat gravel path with the route clearly marked by green and yellow signs.

Lady Wimborne Bridge is a notable historical structure built in 1853 as part of the railway expansion into the area. This Grade II-listed bridge showcases an ornate design that reflects the influence of landowners during the mid-19th century. Although it hasn't hosted trains since 1979 it remains an important landmark, now serving as a walking path that connects to the scenic surroundings​

The Through the Forest route is a great ride for somebody who has some basic off-road riding skills, but exciting enough for everyone. It’s a nice narrow single track that winds its way through a super cool forest with nice tight bends and turns. It is a good route for the younger riders too, as long as they have a decent amount of bike experience. Just follow the rectangular posts with blue arrows.

Nice cycle path through the Valley. Unfortunately can be a lot of loose dogs in the area, making the ride a bit more cautious.

Enjoy a ride on an authentic steam train around Moors Valley Country Park. Carrying over 100,000 passengers annually, the railway provides a picturesque journey of just over a mile. Travel along the banks of Moors Lake, through tunnels, a forest incline, and a spiral loop around the play areas. The railway is run by an extended family team and many dedicated volunteers. With over 20 locomotives, many built in the railway workshop, it prides itself on providing an authentic steam railway experience. Opening times vary depending on the month. Times are mainly 1045am to latest of 5pm

Verwood is a relatively small town in East Dorset, which is famous for the potteries which used the local clays. At the height of the town's pottery industry, there were over 30 kilns, however the last commercial pottery closed in 1952.

Moors Valley Country Park is a great place for a family day out. There is such a range of activities here, from Go Ape, to mountain bike trails, to fishing. The tracks for cycling range from wide open forest tracks to singletrack through the forest. There is also a bike park and pump track where you can test your bike handling skills.

The Twin Sails Bridge (also known as The Second Harbour Crossing) is a double leaved bascule bridge in Poole, Dorset, England. The bridge provides a second road link from Poole Town Centre to Hamworthy. The intention is that the bridge will allow development of four major sites, two in Poole Town Centre and two in Hamworthy, including the old power station, which was closed in 1988
