Good place to stop and rest

Stopped here couple of times. Friendly and good service with good food. Made to feel very welcome even when very wet. Good local/community feel. Seemed to be a knitting master class on one visit - knit and natter perhaps. Say hello to the horse who will be pleased to see you - probably expecting food...

Sad to say but this has not come back after COVID

The Gaggle of Geese, pub in Buckland Newton, good place to stop of fora break and refreshments. They serve food and dogs are welcome.

Well regarded pub with bike-friendly outside seating. Lunchtime snack menu. Closed on Mondays.

Grassy pitches. Beautiful sunsets as well if you’re lucky :)

Gaggle of Geese Camp site. Stayed overnight- really welcoming on arrival. Fine pitch and nice food. COVID visit so things not like they could be but well organised and doing things right. Shower excellent and enjoyed pastries baked for breakfast. Really nice site and looks like it would be good for families. Shepherd hut accommodation as well as pitches. Also hire out camper vans. Good quality pub food and good value - were welcoming on cycle stop pre-covid as well.
