Cute town to walk around. Had a nice meal at the restaurant in the corner called Loft. There is a bench to sit down and enjoy some time with Copernicus.

A charming place to relax in the old town

Atmospheric and a nice view of the Vistula River

The small market square is surrounded by nicely restored colorful tenement houses, which, unfortunately, are mainly reconstructions of buildings that existed before World War II. The Old Town Square has been renovated and looks well-kept, and in the streets leading from the square there are several cozy cafes and restaurants. The most charming one is probably the alley with umbrellas.

At the intersection of Spichrzowa and Ratuszowa streets there is a nice monument to "The Uhlan and the Maiden". It commemorates the activities of the pre-war Cavalry Training Center in Grudziądz. The monument was erected in the place where, during the First and Second World Wars, the Germans placed a wooden statue of Paul von Hindenburg, a German commander, field marshal and President of the Reich in 1925-1934, wearing a Teutonic costume. The official unveiling of "The Uhlan and the Maid" took place in August 2008.

On Astronomy Lovers' Square there is the Nicolaus Copernicus Monument located in front of the entrance to the Jesuit church. It was unveiled on October 14, 1972.
