Tiny park with nice clean bench to enjoy fish & chips from Codfather or other snack of your choice. Clean public loo nearby (limited opening hours, shuts 7pm I think) and what seems a nice (though unvisited) pub is adjacent.

Spectacular bridge, very safe to cross by bike or on foot. At least when there is not a crosswind nor too many other users

The Tamar Bridge links the UK's two most south western counties between Plymouth in Devon and Saltash in Cornwall. It was once the longest suspension bridge in the UK. It is a toll bridge but pedestrians and cycles go free over a separate path which has recently been resurfaced. Close by there is a 'Bridging the Tamar' Visitor & Learning Centre which provides detailed information about the significance of the bridge and its rich history.

Nice segregated cycle path with a good view of the Brunel bridge adjacent.

A fantastic view point which can be admired from the bike or you can take a short detour onto a trail to visit more closely.

Proper stop on loops out to Brent Tor or Lydford. The nobbly top of this tor is visible across south Dartmoor, and the church on top is open from Easter Sunday for services.

I tried this climb yesterday evening towards Callington on my way back from Fowey. It is some hill!

Quiet road with a decent surface to loop back on to the main road

A fun downhill culminating in a bridge where it feels like you might take off, or a decent uphill segment which starts steep and levels off as you go past Golberdon

Nice section of smooth, quiet road as an alternative to the main road towards Gunnislake. Can be a bit dusty past the quarry.

Bridge over the Lynher river. Either side of valley is a long climb. If you are heading towards Callington have 34/29 as a minimum, the gradient is tough. Its what i went up in but was praying for an extra gear. The hill is steep and long. The Southerly climb is as long but not as steep and has several changes in gradient to soften the blow.
