Gyllyngvase Beach, often referred to as Gylly Beach, is one of the most popular beaches in Falmouth on the south coast of England. It is a sandy, crescent-shaped beach with clear, shallow waters, making it a favourite destination for locals and visitors.

Running the loop around Pendennis point is hilly and a bit tough in parts, but take it steady and you'll be rewarded with some amazing views.

This is a beautiful Cornish sub-tropical garden that is not that well known, located between Budock and Mawnan Smith. There are 15 acres for you to explore, with several ponds and many different species of rhododendrons and camellias. The garden is open on a seasonal basis, so make sure to check the website for opening times.

From Cliff Road there are lovely views towards Pennance Point and on to Rosemullion Head.

Swanpool beach is a sandy cove on the outskirts of Falmouth. Behind the beach is Swanpool Nature Reserve (SSSI), a mix of fresh and sea water that is home to over 100 species of bird. There is a cafe, crazy golf and watersports hire available at the beach.

Pendennis point provides beautiful views of the coast and is only a very short distance from busy Falmouth. The name comes the Cornish Pen (Headland) and Dynas (Castle). Dolphins and Basking Sharks have been spotted here along with more frequent visits from seals. Pendennis Castle began life in the 16th Century as a gun fort and has guarded the entrance to Carrick Roads (Falmouth Estuary) since. It is looked after by English Heritage and open to visitors.

Gweek village green is a great spot to stop for a picnic beside the creek. There are benches to sit and enjoy the creekside views. The village store is not far from here. Gweek is the head of the Helford River and was once a thriving port. Mining ore was exported from Gweek, and coal and timber were imported for the mines. There used to be a tin smelting house and processing plant for pilchards. The creek has silted up since being a busy port. Now, Gweek is better known for the National Seal Sanctuary.
