St Nonna's Church is an impressive sight and known locally as the 'Cathedral of the Moors'. The church was built in the 15th century with local granite from the moors. St Nonna was the mother of St David, who travelled through Cornwall as a Celtic missionary on her way to Europe around the year 527. It is well worth a visit inside the church to see the carved bench ends, the square Norman font and the timber beams.

This impressive granite tor sits at 1,299 feet high (396 m) on the rugged edge of Bodmin Moor. This region's main industry used to be mining and the flanks of the tor are littered with its remnants including a disused railway to the south. You can clamber atop the granite if you're comfortable doing so and the weather is conducive. Take care to avoid slipping and don't leave your camera at the bottom: the views are wonderful.

Standing at 246 meters (807 feet), Warbstow Bury is an Iron Age hillfort which would once have provided an important defence to the area. Covering 19 acres, the fort is one of the biggest earthworks in Cornwall. You can visit the two ramparts and ditches and explore the area via the many foot paths.

Off the beaten track and still on the way. So you could describe a tour on the Kilmar Tor. A rewarding round leads from Minion coming past the stone rings, up on the Cheesewring and further on the Sharp goal. From there it goes in direct line to the Kilmar gate. Detailed directions are required only conditionally. Normally, it is sufficient to simply orient yourself in the direction of the next waypoint. Careful you should only be with the grazing cows on the moor and this pass with respect and appropriate distance.
