The trail is very well signposted now, especially as the route has changed from before. Please note that wjhen aproaching the signs, check them to make sure you are happy with the options, as some will take you back to the trail centre, others will allow yo to carry on, enjoy mre of the updated features, and the final descent "Boneyard", that has had all my friends smiling and aksin to do it again. 😊 Happy Trails, my friends. 🤙🏼

Great ride for almost any ability

Intermediate to advance ride, moderate fitness level. Some steep climbs but great fun. Can get really busy with visitors on the weekend, so arrive early. Beautiful, serene, thrilling in places, really great fun. I found the 2nd half of the ride the most enjoyable, with rollers, loads of berms, and switchbacks. Honestly a great locations, lots of different levels of trail to try after you finish on this one.

Great for all skill levels, full loop or just sections MTB or Gravel great surface and plenty to see along the way. Recommended day out with stop points and skills areas along the route. Check out cafes at Beachenhurst, Mallards Pike, mobile cafe at Cannop Ponds.

The Verderer blue run needs decent fitness & moderate skill level, we hired EMTB’s from “Wye Bikes” so was easy on the inclines. We picked up the last part of the red which was technical, narrow & the tight turns made it more challenging on a heavy emtb , Canop is a great place , food avail £8.50 for a burrito so expensive

Great loop for everyone and families. Good surface and steady climbs.

A means to an end

Excellent family ride. About 9.6miles. Relatively flat though an excellent downhill towards the end. Go anticlockwise if you like going uphill.

A fun, family orientated cycle trail that remains in good condition year round. The trail has plenty of opportunities for those looking to build MTB skills with the more challenging skill sections off of the main trail.

Great climbs, fast and demanding downhills, at least it was for me. First run ever on a designated mountain bike track. I did it on my old rigid mountain bike. I didn't do any stunts but climbed fast and enjoyed the runs. An excellent run to cut your teeth on.

Great flowy trail but can get really fast! Also keep eyes open for riders joining the trail part way down who want to session parts.

Steep in places but okay to ride up as long as you have strong legs

To get to the top of the DH trails, Launchpad, Corkscrew, Ski Run, Sheep Skull etc, you'll need to push up here, or even ride if you're feeling energetic! Take care as a few of the trails cross this wide gravel road (including GBU) and you might find E-bikers or even fast riders looking to pass. It feels like a long slog with some pretty steep sections but the quality of these trails makes it all worthwhile!

A series of moderately sized table tops (five I think) with decent gaps in between, these are either rollable or can make for some fun air time along the red route at the Forest of Dean trail centre.

The blue trail at the Forest of Dean is a great XC trail. Great fun for everyone from beginners to more experienced riders. A mix of hardpack and single trail. It gets a bit puddly but it's all quite grippy even in the wet. I always forget how much uphill there is in this loop! Worth it all for the descent at the end!
