Until 1945, the lake was called Kirchen See. On September 17, 1949, the name Gostomie was introduced. Currently, the state register of geographical names lists Gostomie as the lake's primary name, while also listing a secondary name: Boruckie Lake. Located in the Noteć Forest, very close to the town of Gościm (1 km), the lake is the deepest of all the lakes in the area, reaching a depth of 18 meters.

A Catholic branch church. It belongs to the parish in Górki Noteckie. The half-timbered (single-nave) church was built in 1789 for the local Protestant community. It was consecrated as a Catholic church on May 8, 1946. In 1964, it was thoroughly rebuilt and rebuilt, concealing the original structure. The church is rectangular in plan, enclosed on three sides on the eastern side. A square tower stands above the nave. The tower is narrower in the upper part and has an octagonal plan.

Beautiful views of Lake Solecko from Zagaje. There is also an educational shelter, a playground for children and a parking lot.

The Sacred Heart Parish Church in Trzebicz (formerly Trebitsch) was built in the second half of the 19th century as a neo-Gothic, Protestant church.
