Paczków has an interesting market square. It's a mix of architectural styles (so if you're a historian, you'll probably be a bit lost)—Baroque, Gothic, Renaissance... but it looks beautiful. The oldest townhouses date back to around 1500, as it was in the 16th century that the wooden buildings began to be replaced with brick ones.

The townhouses on the Market Square represent the Renaissance, Baroque, and Classicist styles.

The first church in this place was mentioned in 1235, destroyed during the Hussite wars, it was rebuilt in 1466. The cornerstone for the construction of the current church was laid in 1690, while construction works were completed in 1693. The architect of the church was Johann Peter Tobler. The polychrome was made by Karol Dankwart (known, among others, for his works in the basilica of St. James the Elder and Agnes in Nysa), they present scenes from the lives of both patrons, the Mother of God and the saints. The main altar was made by Johann Weinmann from Ellwangen and consecrated in 1701. The stucco is the work of G. Alberti, B. Mutino and P. Simonetti.

The market as well as the whole city is worth visiting.

Renovated, nice Renaissance town hall and an interesting square.

The tower is currently renovated, but unfortunately it cannot be visited and climbed.

Gothic fortified church of St. John the Evangelist, built in 1604-1606
