This section of the a40 has no shoulder or pavement so I don't recommend riding a bike here anytime other than late into a summer evening.

Beautiful place a must visit

Gloucester cathedral showcases 1000 years of architectural styles from Norman through to Perpendicular and even the present day as repair and rennovation continues. Pop in and admire the fan-faulted medieval cloisters, colourful Great East Window, and the decorative Lady Chapel, which houses some of the finest Arts & Crafts glass in the country.

A lovely road to take with great scenery. Better to head towards Northwood Green or Blaisdon afterwards to avoid the busy and not too cycling friendly A48.

Tea room open 10:00 - 16:00 everyday.

The marina offers 300 flood protected moorings for boats. It's on the River Avon but with easy access to the River Severn. It's a great place to have a break and watch the boast.

A magnificent building which has been polished up recently. Lovely grounds in which to chill out for a bit.
