The windmill comes from the 19th century and is of the Dutch type. The probable year of creation is 1806. A rare model - its head has a five-pointed wing. On January 18, 1960, the windmill was entered into the register of monuments. It was in this windmill that the Trojak family, Jan and Teodozja, lived. One of their children is Piotr Trojak - the murderer of two boys. On September 2, 2002, he murdered Marcin Skotark in Lisewo Malborski and on September 30, 2005, he killed Sebastian Talarek in Łęgów. In 2007, he was sentenced to life imprisonment. After the verdict, Piotr's father hanged himself in the windmill. This is not the end of the tragedies associated with the facility. As is often the case, the bridge needs renovation, but there are no funds for it and it is closed to traffic.

The oldest part of the city - on this side of the Wierzyca River, there used to be a farm and a village belonging to Piotr Święca. Shortly after he sold the local lands to the Teutonic Knights, in 1305, under the direction of Theodotus from Florence, they began to mark out the area for the development of a new settlement. In this way, a spatial layout was created with a regular network of streets radiating from the centrally located square market square, which is larger than the Old Town Square in Warsaw.
