This is a fast rolling cross country route with some great ancient track and gravel segments with the option to detour onto some single track around the route.

Fabulous valley section with some little leg burners to keep you honest. Steepest section is back up to Hazelcote Lane.

Pretty little village with some rough and ready lanes around it to get your teeth into.

The name says it all, down through the woods and out into a beautiful valley. It's technically a road, but the first descent from Kingscote is very potted and gravelly - take care!

Lovely quiet roads, and if you've just come up from the edge of the Cotswolds, a welcome respite from climbing. Open so can't get blustery on the wrong day.

Attractive village centred around the Church of St John the Baptist.

In the 2nd and 3rd centuries AD, Easton Grey was an important Roman settlement on the Fosse Way.

This is part of a Roman road built during the first and second centuries that linked Exeter in the southwest and Lincoln to the northeast, via Ilchester, Bath, Cirencester and Leicester.

A brilliant stretch of cycle path that is smoother than most roads!

Signposted as Cranmore Lane at the Shipton Moyne end. A superb track and a great way to join the Fosse Way. If you turn right on to the Fosse Way it avoids doing the rougher sections near the bridges... though these are perhaps the most beautiful parts.

A very pretty spot. There's short though challenging climbs out in either direction.

A really charming spot. One day I'm gonna do the ford, but it always seems a bit too deep.

An absolutely fantastic stretch of very quiet lanes which undulate gently. Depending on the wind direction it's possible to motor along... or alternatively, you can just relax and enjoy the stunning scenery. This whole area (between Avening and Cirencester) has some brilliant routes to take... I haven't found a bad one yet!
