A fairly amenable climb... for Chalford! Most of it is around the 10% mark, but there is a little sting in the tail at the end where it ramps up to around 15%. A good road surface and it's wide enough to share with any traffic that maybe around, but it's pretty quiet.

A charming lane through the Frome Valley at Chalford. It is a little rough in places but nothing too horrendous... I did it on a carbon road bike. There are plenty of options at either end. I came down from Frampton Mansell, which looks like a good climb and went up Coppice Hill, which was a bit of a brute!

A charming little hamlet in a beautiful valley. It can be reached by a number of fantastics lanes.

The surface is much better than it used to be a few years ago. It's now suitable for just about any bike and as Phil says.... "far nicer than Bath Road".

Quiet roads lead to and from here.

Good for families - rubber/aggregate mix surface, flat and safe, pretty fast under the tyre and far nicer than bath road

Beautiful church in Cirencester's central square. Dates from 1117.

5* - the barista here was just brilliant. Happy to fill water bottles and serves a nice cup of coffee. On a hot day there is also Ice Cream available. Opportunity to stop and take in the spectacular St. John Baptist church.

Lovely farm shop with ‘drive thru’ cafe and picnic tables. Although I need a flip up cup holder for the coffee!

better on a slightly wider tire as road can be bumpy - Turn left at the end to bypass Hapmton Hill to Minchinghampton, or continue straight to miss the hills and fast cars towards Tetbury.
