Ancient stone circles from 4000 B.C. A mysterious and mystical place. Surrounded by the care of local associations.

In a small section of forest, south of the village of Węsiory, there are several stone circles and burial mounds, which even have some megaliths placed there. Experts disagree as to whether this mystical place is the work of the Goths from the 1st to 3rd centuries or whether the tombs and stone circles were built 4,000 to 8,000 years ago.

If you ride your bike along the north shore of Lake Sumino, you will automatically pass the smaller Suminko. This lake is not standing water but a flowing channel lake as it drains into the larger Sumino Lake. You can take a wonderful break at both lakes and let the idyllic atmosphere of both waters work on you.

The idyllic Mausz-See is a channel lake that was created in the last ice age. Picturesque and varied shore areas invite you to linger and walk. Circumnavigating the lake is also not a problem with a MTB. A worthwhile detour is the summer village of Ostrów Mausz, located on a peninsula.

Stone circles in Węsiory were probably built many thousands of years BC. This is indicated by lichens on stones. Archaeologists have also found burials of major members of the Gothic tribes here.
