Great views from the top of the hill, nice place to run to and enjoy the views from the top!

Careful on the golf course, stay to the edges. Fantastic views over Gloucester and stroud. If you want an express route down take Stockley and enjoy rocketing into Upton st. Leonards.

Watch out for the first climb it really is a lot steeper than you’d expect as you near the top..definitely don’t try this route in the wet

This is one of the smaller hills in this area but still has some good views from the top. Views of the Malvern hills, Coopers hill & Chosen hill

Topograph at the top of Leckhampton Hill… apparently sponsored by the Nixon family who used to love walking up to Leckhampton Hill. Great views on a clear day

View over the Severn from Painswick Beacon - you can see May Hill and even further.

Great views and hence, usually lots of people and dogs to avoid. The climb up from Cheltenham Road is short and punchy.

This is worth a trip on any bike, worth exploring from every direction, and certainly worth visiting cranham woods for even more good downhill, singletrack and fireroads. Just be mindful of cows and considerate to Golfers and Walkers who also share the beacon and it's surrounding land (also the royal william Pub nearby is nice!)

Beautiful views across Gloucester & Cheltenham. From this spot you can see... (from west to east...) May Hill, Robinswood Hill, the black mountains (super faint in the distance), Chosen Hill and The Malverns. Amazing spot for a picnic

Loads of trails and roads to follow up to the beacon. Great views across to the river Severn - the area is shared with Painswick Golf course and often busy with Golfers, walkers and cyclists

Once you have enjoyed some of the great singletrack and doubletrack trails, climb to the top of the Beacon and take in the views

It is a lovely walk up to Painswick Beacon and the views are very impressive. You are afforded a full panorama from the summit and the views over to the Severn estuary are exceptional. The route to the top does pass through a golf course, though, so watch out for stray balls.

Cooper’s Hill - also known to locals as the Cheese Roll Hill because every year on the late May bank holiday - thousands of people like up to chase a wheel of Gloucester Cheddar down the VERY STEEP hill. The prize? The Cheese itself, of course!!
