Wigry National Park is one of the most beautiful places in north-eastern Poland, located in the Suwałki Lake District. Its heart is Lake Wigry, one of the cleanest and deepest lakes in the country, surrounded by the picturesque forests of the Augustów Forest. The park offers numerous hiking and cycling trails, including the popular Bicycle Trail Around Wigry, ideal for lovers of two wheels. In the park you can meet beavers, cranes and many species of rare birds. It is also worth visiting the historic Camaldolese monastery on the Wigry peninsula, which offers beautiful views of the lake.

The Kamionka River is a picturesque watercourse in Wigry National Park, originating near the village of Szwajcaria north of Suwałki. It flows through lakes Dąbrówka, Krzywe, Zielone, and Koleśne, finally emptying into Lake Pierty. In its upper reaches, it is known as "Szwajcaria" (Switzerland) and is characterized by a swift current and a deep, steep-sided ravine. The Kamionka River is a habitat for beavers, who create dams and lodges, and is also home to fish such as brown trout. Thanks to its clear waters and abundant aquatic vegetation, the river provides a haven for numerous animal species, including otters. It is an excellent place for leisurely bike rides and observing nature in its natural state.
