The church was dedicated to Saint Katherine in the 13th century, Saint Dennis in the 18th century, and is believed to have once been dedicated to Saint Kenelm.[2] During the 18th century it may have briefly been dedicated to St Dennis. A countryside cafe set in the heart of the Cotswolds with a pleasant garden and covered seating area.

Personally found it quite alright on 28mm road tyres, just pay a little bit more attention to the surface.

A lovely place to ride a bike on a sunny summer day… one of my favourites.

tour calls a sharp left immediately after turning right on to footpath; you have to run all the way down the hill before turning!

Along a quiet lane running parallel to the Windrush.

Quiet undulating single track road along the Windrush. Beautiful country side. The road is full of gravel and potholes. More suited to gravel and touring bikes than road (race) bikes.

Windrush is a(nother) beautiful Cotswolds village.

A great cafe on the edge of the town, great coffee and snacks.

Road surface good in the western half, acceptable but not great in the eastern half.

Tourists type "Cotswolds" into google maps and this is where it takes them... Be prepared to be asked for directions!

A nice little cafe, a little on the expensive side. I had a sausage sandwich for £6.50, that said it was a big portion on sourdough bread and tasty. The chef bought it out and stopped and had a nice chat with us. They have a nice sized courtyard "Secret Garden" out the back and they are more than happy for cyclists to walk their bikes through the cafe and out the back, where they can be left safely, there are not many places where you can to this in Cirencester and especially on a Sunday.
