The town has a very long history (dating back to Early Saxon Age). Famous as a market town during the Middle Ages. I'd strongly recommend visiting Ledbury heritage centre, which is located near Parish church, where you can dive into the history of that place.

The Cathedral Green is open to bikes and Church Street, leading off it to the north, has several good cafes you can stop at.

Ledbury Cricket Club - founded in 1836 (!) occupy this pretty ground some mile or so out of the town. If you are lucky enough to pass by while a game is in progress, you can stop and enjoy a drink from the informal bar

You can cycle through the cathedral close to connect the route through town, avoiding some of the one-way system.

Great local independent cafe. Serves breakfast sandwiches and lunch as well as coffee and cakes. There are bike racks directly across the road so you can easily keep an eye on your ride from the outdoor seating or the tables by the front window. Open til 3pm, closed Sundays.

A pretty market town in northern Herefordshire. There are lots of examples of the Tudor half timber black and white buildings. The Ledbury Market Hall in the town centre is a particularly good example built in 1617.

The Cider Museum holds an internationally important collection of the history of cider. Set in the old Bulmers factory with champagne cellars dating back to 1889. Adult entry £5.50 (2022). Café and shop on site. Open Mon, Thurs, Fri and Sat from 10:30 - 16:30

The location of Hereford Cathedral has been a place of worship since the 8th centaury. Parts of the present building date back as far as 1079. Nowadays as well as being a spectacular building the cathedral has a collection of chained books including the Mappa Mundi, a medievel map of the world created in about 1300.
