10월 28, 2025, Kruchowo Manor House
The manor house in Kruchów is an elegant 19th-century landed gentry residence nestled in a picturesque setting of fields and ancient trees. Built in the Classicist style, it captivates with its simple form and peaceful harmony with the landscape. For years, it was the center of social and economic life on the surrounding estates. Today, although somewhat forgotten, it still exudes an atmosphere of bygone times and aristocratic tranquility. A stroll around the manor house is a journey back in time – into the world of tradition and history of the Greater Poland countryside.

The court is inaccessible from the inside. On the tympanum there is a Latin sentence: he who watches does not sleep.

A road and railway bridge in the middle of the forest (Gniezno Narrow Gauge Railway) on the road leading from Przybrodzin to Ostrów (including the Moran Hotel) and the village of Ostrowo Stare,

Anastazewo was to be a connection of the Gniezno Narrow Gauge Railway (the tracks ran further to the Konin Narrow Gauge station) with the standard gauge line no. 239 from Mogilno through Orchowo, according to the original assumptions further through Witkowo to Września. Ultimately, the line from Orchowo was never extended, only a section of the tracks was extended beyond the viaduct along Tadeusza Kościuszki Street towards the south and ended with a buffer trestle.

This section of the road along the tracks of the Gniezno Narrow Gauge Railway leads from Przybrodzin to the village of Ostrowo Stare, initially as a packed forest road, then after the bridge (Lake Powidzkie-Lake Powidzkie Małe /Hutka/) a very sandy section (along the tracks, on the other side there is a trampled path), after the railway crossing there is a new, even asphalt.

9월 19, 2024, Statue of Forester Paul Redlich
The sculpture of Redlich in the Stary Dwór forester's lodge shows him with a horn and a doe. The animal symbolizes the care of the forest and its inhabitants. The horn may be an allusion to the possibility of posthumous intervention, which is mentioned in the legend, according to which the spirit of the forester became a posthumous defender of the forest, who looks after the good of the surrounding nature. And woe to anyone who disturbs its peace. (tupowstalapolska.pl)

8월 31, 2024, Kruchowo Manor House
The Renaissance-Baroque manor house, commonly known as the palace, was built in the second half of the 16th century. Its construction is associated with the Mieliński family name, as Aleksander Mieliński, bearing the Czele coat of arms, a courtier of Sigismund Augustus, diplomat, royal secretary, and abbot of Trzemeszno, appointed in 1557 by Stefan Batory to the newly established Wendish bishopric in Inflanty, "built a castle-like tenement house for his homeland in 1582." The manor house, situated on a hill (an artificially built earth platform), was surrounded by wetlands to the east and a deep moat to the north. The walls are up to 150-160 cm thick. Around 1766, the manor house was rebuilt by Józef Rosen, who added a second story. In 1921, a columned portico was added to the front, and the façade features an arcaded arcade with a balcony. Before 1939, it was surrounded by trees, shrubs, and flower pots, and the arcaded driveway was adorned with vines. A concrete tennis court was hidden in the park, and a marina with boats and kayaks was located on the lake. (Wikipedia)

Beautifully clear water, perfect for swimming in. Highly recommended! Lots of sand around the approach to the lake and some bays have steep steps to get to the water, but its worth it.

After the Second Partition of Poland, the surrounding areas were incorporated into Prussia, but not for long. After Napoleon's fall, the border between Prussia and Russia was finally moved and ran between the lakes: Kownackie, Suszewskie, Budzisławskie and Powidzkie. The areas east of the border fell under the rule of Tsarist Russia, and the western area was incorporated into the Kingdom of Prussia. The shifting of the border resulted in restrictions on free movement between the partitions. To cross the border, you had to obtain a special pass, the so-called ticket. A very important border point was Anastazewo. The Prussian-Russian border was located here, and for this reason a border crossing with a customs office was established here. In connection with the functioning of the border crossing between the partitions, it was necessary to organize a customs post. The Prussian one was located in a tall building built of red brick in a characteristic Prussian style, and it was located right by the road. Another interesting building is of course the Russian watchtower, which is a few dozen meters away in the tiny village of Salamonowo. It was the road between these two watchtowers that marked the borders between the partitions. /pojezierze24.pl/
