Foxton road swing bridge is the very first navigational feature tourists trying their hand at narrow boating will encounter on leaving Market Harborough marina. It is a piece of road which needs to be swung out of the way. A great place to stop and watch the action,or lend a hand if you're feeling generous.

The historic Northamptonshire village of East Farndon lies on the Jurassic Way long-distance footpath, though there are few facilities for hikers to make use of. King Charles I's army stayed here during the First English Civil War before their defeat at the Battle of Naseby. Just to the south is Prince Rupert's Viewpoint, which he would have used around 8am on the morning of the battle to look out across the fields.
