Small town close to one of the meanders of the Río Guadalquivir and located at the foot of the Sierra de Cardeña y Montoro Natural Park.

This municipality in the Campiña de Jaén enjoys a privileged location, as it is located between Sierra Morena, the Guadalquivir fertile plain and the Sierra de Andújar natural park. This facilitates the diversity of ecosystems. This town is also famous for its medicinal waters.

The Spa of Marmolejo is located along the Guadalquivir river situated at the foot of the Sierra Morena mountains. Popular tourist attraction. From the bridge of the A-420 highway you can see the glass dome of the spa and the river.

The Plaza de Andalucía is the center of the town, where the Town Hall building and the tourist information center are located. The main building in the square is the church of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción, built between the late 19th and early 20th centuries in neo-Romanesque style.
