Path along Lake Drawsko

Interesting arrangement, but the ticket price of 25 PLN (August 2025) doesn't encourage a quick visit. If I were to come here and sit for three hours, that's fine, but by bike, not so much...

The promenade in Czaplinek is a picturesque section running along the shore of Lake Drawsko – one of the cleanest and deepest lakes in Poland. The route leads through a well-kept area with benches, piers and viewing points, ideal for a break during a bike trip. In the summer, the area is full of life – there is a swimming area, a marina and catering points. The promenade is a great place to relax, watch the water and sunsets.

The palace in Bobrów is a neo-Gothic residence from the mid-19th century, built by Konstantyn von Knebel-Doeberitz in the years 1851-1853. After a fire in 1894, it was rebuilt, and after the war it was adapted into a school and educational center. The building is distinguished by its irregular plan with projections and a tower, as well as a decorative arcade cornice. Although the interiors have lost their historical layout, fragments of the former landscape park can still be seen in the surroundings. The palace is an interesting stop on the bicycle route for lovers of architecture and the history of the region.

The Fisherman's Sculpture in Czaplinek was originally created in 1986 by Edward Szatkowski on behalf of the Czaplinek Municipality to commemorate the 700th anniversary of the town. The figure was carved from linden wood based on a design by Paweł Wasznik. In 1998, the sculpture was replaced with a new one, as the original had significantly deteriorated over time.

Very nice route

The monument, funded by collections, was erected in 2005 right by the water, at the shore of Lake Drawsko, to commemorate the stay in Czaplinek of Father Karol Wojtyła - the future Pope - who, together with a group of young people, participated in a kayaking trip down the Drawa River in 1955, which started at Lake Drawsko.
